Dr. Gariwala has dedicated his life to treating patients suffering from pain. He has over 15 years of experience in Pain Management. He has extensive training and experience in diagnosis and management of chronic pain as well as performing minimally invasive injection procedures for pain.
He served as Chief of Division of Pain Management at University of Maryland Medical Center – Midtown Campus, (previously Maryland General Hospital) for over a decade.
He has a passion for teaching and has trained and mentored medical students, residents and foreign medical graduates.
He is Board Certified in the subspecialty of Pain Medicine as well as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also an orthopedic surgeon, Board Certified in India where he practiced orthopedic surgery for 6 years. This combination, of extensive training in three different, but very related specialties gives him the advantage of being a knowledgeable and well-rounded Pain Management physician.
His interests include all types of chronic pain. He treats his patients with compassion and care. He follows international and national guidelines to provide safe care. He has the expertise in using various modalities including - latest injection procedures, medications, Botox injections, physical therapy, electrodiagnostic studies etc.
